How Spray Foam Insulation Savannah Works

Spray Foam Insulation Savannah insulates and air seals houses, rentals, raised homes and metal buildings in Savannah and the surrounding parts of Chatham, Bryan and Effingham counties. Our work covers open-cell and closed-cell foam, crawl space encapsulation, insulation under raised floors, attic sealing and insulation, removal of damaged insulation, and foam for metal buildings and garages.

The coast sets the agenda here. Summers are long and sticky, with average dew points near 70°F from June through August, and about half of the year's rain lands between June and September. Many towns around Savannah sit only 10 to 25 feet above sea level, so crawl spaces stay damp, and some homes stand on piers or pilings in flood zones. Termites are a fact of life too: Chatham County asks for proof of termite soil treatment on new construction. All of that shapes which material goes where.

Every job starts with a visit. We look at the attic, the crawl space or the open area under a raised house, and any garage or outbuilding you want included. We measure what insulation is there, check for standing water, mold, sagging batts, pest damage and duct leaks, and find the gaps where humid outdoor air gets in.

After the visit you get a written quote. Each area is listed with its material, thickness or depth, target R-value and price. Foam is not always the right answer. An open attic floor is often best sealed and then covered with blown-in insulation. Foam earns its cost on rooflines over ductwork, under raised floors, on crawl space walls and rim joists, and on metal.

How we work

  • See it first. Prices follow a visit, never a guess over the phone.
  • Water before foam. Leaks, standing water and drainage problems are dealt with before anything is sealed in.
  • Leave room for termite checks. Foam plans keep inspection access for your pest company.
  • Seal, then insulate. Gaps get closed before they are covered up.
  • Protect the house. Floors, belongings and equipment are covered and the work area is closed off.
  • Put it in writing. Work starts once you approve the quote, and any change is agreed in writing.
